Resurrection: Bodega

Some pieces don't die. They just get put in a drawer for a while.

Bodega was one of ours from way back — the butcher-diagram pig, worked over with a different kind of harvest instead of the usual cuts. It made people laugh in the shop and disappear from the lineup for reasons that had nothing to do with whether it was good. It was good. It just wasn't its time.

It's time now.

This is the first of the resurrections — old work that deserved better than the back corner. Not reprinted out of nostalgia. Reprinted because it still holds up, and because burying good work just because it's old is exactly the kind of corner-cutting we don't do with steel, and we're not about to start doing with art.

More of these are coming. If you've got a favorite from the archive you never got your hands on, tell us. That's half the reason we're doing this.
